Cara enjoys her visit to the Women's British Open
One of our junior members, Cara Patient enjoyed her recent visit to the Women's British Open which was held at Woburn. Cara is enjoying the coaching that she is receiving under the Hampshire Ladies Junior programme and was very keen to show off her "Hampshire" sweatshirt.
Cara proudly showing her "Hampshire" sweatshirt to World Number 1 player, Lydia Ko.
On Monday, Cara took part in the junior, John Phipps Trophy competition and scored a very good 41 points.
However, the scoring was fantastic and Cara finished in 4th place.
The winner of the John Phipps Trophy was James Perry with a score of 50 pts (yes, 50!!) but only just beating Harriet Riches who was second with 48 pts and then in 3rd place was Rhys Thomas with 43.
We are very fortunate as currently we have an enthusiastic and keen group of girls and boys who are enjoying their golf at Alresford.

There's always going to be an element of luck with any hole-in-one, but this is something else! Sadly for Thomas Bjørn, it won't go down as a competitive ace.. Still… worth a watch.
I hope you enjoyed the newsletter and have a great week.
